Kristen Laura Whitaker

Kristen Laura Whitaker is a native of Washington D.C. and graduate of North Carolina Central University, where she double majored in political science and public administration. She earned her Masters in federal program management from Trinity University. Kristen went on to teach high school in the D.C area and was named the Toyota Family Engagement Teacher of the Year by the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) in 2015. She is currently the Associate Director of Digital Learning at NCFL, leading the Immersive Education vision and overseeing their digital learning properties. Kristen continues to use her family engagement expertise as a Home Visit DC city-wide teacher trainer for the Flamboyan Foundation. She enjoys traveling, fishing, and arts & crafts in her spare time.
